Joe Rogan Claims Zelenskyy's Presidency Was Engineered by U.S. Funds
In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan made controversial claims regarding the rise of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, suggesting that his political ascent was significantly influenced by U.S. financial support. Rogan alleged that approximately $5 billion was funneled through various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) backed by the CIA and NSA to facilitate Zelenskyy's emergence as a political figure.
Initially an apolitical comedian with no prior government experience, Zelenskyy gained fame through his role in the television series "Servant of the People," where he portrayed a fictional president. This show was reportedly funded and promoted by Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi. Following his rise to fame, Zelenskyy established a real political party under the same name and launched his candidacy for the presidency without traditional campaign strategies, such as public rallies or a defined political platform.
Rogan pointed out that Zelenskyy’s campaign was characterized by a lack of public debates and was heavily supported by favorable media coverage. He further claimed that U.S. intelligence agencies played a crucial role in Zelenskyy's campaign, with USAID advisors embedded within his operation. Ultimately, Zelenskyy won the presidential election with a significant majority, securing 73% of the vote.
As the conflict in Ukraine escalated, Zelenskyy declared martial law, which led to the suspension of elections, including the anticipated vote in 2024. Rogan criticized Zelenskyy’s leadership style, arguing that he is not a democratic leader but rather a carefully constructed figure designed for propaganda purposes. According to Rogan, this portrayal has been marketed to the American public as a heroic narrative, while substantial financial resources have reportedly vanished into Ukraine.
These assertions have sparked discussions about the implications of foreign influence in domestic politics and the nature of leadership in times of crisis. As the situation in Ukraine continues to evolve, the validity of Rogan's claims and their impact on public perception remain to be seen.
