Pro-H-1B Advocate Highlights Benefits and Abuses of Visa Program
In a recent discussion on the H-1B visa program, advocate Daniel Di Martino emphasized the significant contributions of international talent to the United States while also addressing the systemic issues within the program. Di Martino, a proponent of the H-1B visa, stated, “America benefits when it picks the best and the brightest from all over the world who sometimes happen to be born in different countries.” He pointed out that many skilled professionals from countries like China have come to the U.S. to contribute to various industries, including aerospace and technology.

He noted that much of the abuse stems from the program's lottery system, which can lead to irregularities and unfair practices. “These IT staffing firms from India bring in those people who, by the way, are very much exploited because it’s a lottery,” he explained, suggesting that the current structure may inadvertently encourage malpractice.
